Woe
04:08
|
|||
I long to be the sap who wears his heart on his sleeve
So I'm sure to keep my mouth shut when you’re looking to breathe.
I’ll try and keep you away.
At this rate I won’t.
There ain’t enough light in day
And my conscience won’t-
Twirl me round,
Bring you down like lungs to bare some toxic smoke I’d wish away.
Woe!
At twenty five this tongue’s gone dry.
I long to rest my weary eyes.
Your water is as plain as sand.
My head swims in the thirst of it.
I long to be the sap who wears his heart on his sleeve
So I’m sure to keep my mouth shut when you’re looking to breathe.
I’ll take on all your problems but they don’t mean a thing.
I’m hearing all your words but I’ve lost all sympathy.
Shut up and move and on.
Shut up, move along.
A way away.
Twirl me round,
Bring you down like lungs to bare some toxic smoke I’d wish away.
I long to be the sap who wears his heart on his sleeve
So I’m sure to keep my mouth shut when you’re looking to breathe.
I’ll take on all your problems but they don’t mean a thing.
You’re water in the ocean and my home don’t meet the sea.
I long to be the sap who wears his heart on his sleeve
So I'm sure to keep my mouth shut when you’re looking to breathe.
I’ll take on all your problems but they don’t mean a thing.
I’m hearing all your words but I’ve lost all sympathy.

Wonder & Worry
03:45
|

I wonder how we’ll keep afloat when it’s over.
Stay the course/trained on your north star.
You’re a friend I’ll miss from the great abyss.
I wish you well from the dips and swells.
The most peculiar feeling is floating here while Earth goes on sinking.
I’m working on my breathing and legs would kick for hours to see you.
You’re a friend I’ll miss from the great abyss.
I’ve lost the shore, my friend, and I know your star hangs miles ahead.
Wave goodbye and greet it’s shine-I wish you well from way behind.
Everyone’s so overwhelmed and worried for themselves.
While the earth sinks down to hell
I am hoping you are well.
You’re a friend I’ll miss from the great abyss.
The earth will go on sinking/a most peculiar feeling
The earth will go on sinking and I just keep on kicking to you.

Walk With Me
06:06
|
|||
I unlocked the door, let yourself in.
I ain’t seen the sun here since I don’t know when.
Come down to the basement, we’ll give it up.
Stained and framed in me.
Your beams could call me home.
Stayed many a night with the girl on the moon
But the stars took me back to the daylight with you.
Your beams could call me home.
We die in our shirts, we live in sin
My knees couldn’t flex and the stair hurt my shin.
From deep dark below we’ve had enough.
Stained and framed anew.
Stayed many a night with the girl on the moon
But the stars took me back to the daylight with you.
Your beams could call me home.
Your beams could call me home
To June my heart would go
A love to help me roam
Your words to warm the snow.
Drink to shame me.
Your love to save me.

Forever Yearning
06:10
|
|||
Two wider eyes, two open wounds
to feed or salt by dust of the moon.
I’d lighten up but my swollen head
Is dense enough to hold it all in.
I’d join the flock set out to pasture
but I drank all life from Earth last night.
Peel me from this bed.
Salt my swollen head.
Tethered-flesh to flesh.
Drink me numb instead.
Further tempered to my end.
A level set burns at the sight of it.
I live in shade-
But in time I’ll sight you.
I’ve got my head screwed back on tight.
I clean up well I’m milky white.
Part me from this plight.
Feed me to the light.
Further tempered to my end.
A level set burns at the sight of it.
I live in shade-
But in time I’ll sight you.
A crutch, a sponge to keep me cushioned, upright, tall
But then the salted cuts would open up to make sense of it all.
If I’m not happy where I am, I’d do me well to pick me up.
I swear I'd kill myself if I’m to take another fall
And the-
World goes on turning.
Sun still brightly burning.
Yearning. Always. Yearning.
